CONTEST!! ****** CONTEST!! ****** CONTEST!! ****** CONTEST!! ****** CONTEST!!
Chemists Stanley Pons of the University of Utah and Martin Fleischmann of the University of Southampton in England recently announced the results of one of their experiments. They claim to have produced nuclear fusion in the laboratory at temperatures far below what most scientists believe is possible, using simple and cheap apparatus.
At a news conference recently, one questioner asked Pons: "Are you Prometheus,Pandora, or Piltdown Man?"(His reply was "No comment.")
There is a prize waiting (worth at least 3.95!!) for the first person to best interpret or explain the interviewer's query; that is, what is the symbolism of the three P's?All entries must be sent to me by electronic mail and I will be the sole judge of all entries.
How you obtain the answer is up to you, but torturing me is out (Sorry!).-- AG
